Technical Support Analyst (Full-time position in Northampton, MA)

About the job
Our client is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to join their team and contribute to their customers’ success in the media distribution and broadcast industry. This role reviews, analyzes and evaluates customer issues / requests for our line of broadcast management software which includes asset management, sales, traffic & integration solutions. Additionally, this role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to self-manage day-to-day tasks & a strong understanding of IT concepts and solutions.

About the day-to-day

*          Triage customer support tickets across the line of broadcast products

*          Manage ticket life-cycle by working closely with customers & internal teams for resolution

*          Take on support challenges where there is no playbook and problem solving skills are critical

*          Escalate issues based on priority level and skillset

 

About your skills

*          A problem solver, able to break down issues and determine the root cause

*          Passion for learning new technologies

*          Ability to handle demanding requests and work under pressure

*          Outstanding customer relation skills

*          Technically savvy and able to pick up technical concepts rapidly

*          Passionate about working in an extremely fast-paced and demanding environment

*          Linux administration experience (RedHat / CentOS) highly preferred

*          Experience with SQL DBs (PostgreSQL preferred), ability to construct & execute intricate SQL queries

*          Network, load balancer & server performance tuning experience

*          Experience in broadcast, a plus

*          College degree and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience
