The Systems Administrator/Computer Support Specialist will operate, maintain, and monitor software and hardware. Maintain business essentials, like operating systems, business applications, email, and PCs. The System Administrator will act as the IT/IS help desk to the end-users for all software and hardware issues, including the VOIP telephone system and company owned cell phones.
Perform daily systems monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Investigate and troubleshoot issues and work with outside contract technicians to repair hardware or software failures. Communicate with end-users concerning IT related issues. Enforce security guidelines and corporate acceptable use practices. Interact with end-users and executive team to determine operational needs and requirements across the enterprise. Manage and maintain the VOIP telephone system in conjunction with outside contract technicians.
The Systems Administrator/Computer Support Specialist will need to gain expert proficiency using the ERP software system currently in use at the company, which is a product from e-Emphasys and is based on the Baan/Infor platform. This "Super User" will maintain user accounts; work with configuration settings and monitor activity.
Excellent time-management, problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Willingness to work with the end-users and provide training where needed.
Some knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint, and networking principles would be helpful.
Competency in all Microsoft Office programs.
Some knowledge of database essentials such as SQL queries, relational database management and report writing.
Experience with, Office 365, including Power BI is preferred.
Experience with Windows Server 2008 and higher, and SharePoint,
Experience with programs using ODBC connections, such as Microsoft Access or FileMaker or Crystal Reports.
Ability to work with the end-users to resolve problems and provide support with all software and hardware issues.
Ability to work with outside contractors for network maintenance and server configuration.
