Position Summary:


Using leading-edge tools such as React, GraphQL and TypeScript, design and implement front end user interface for industry-leading cloud-based massively parallel financial simulation software developed by the company for internal use and external sale (SaaS).


Essential Responsibilities

?     Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, documentation and testing.

?     Architect, design and implement a large, single-page application (SPA) while managing to provide a high-quality user experience for a very complex system, making it both accessible to relative novices while also satisfying the productivity requirements of more sophisticated users.

?     Handle and resolve occasional email and phone technical support queries with customers (5-10%).

Skills & Knowledge


?     Coursework and/or practical experience with at least several of: human computer interaction, natural language processing, visualization, computer graphics, programming languages, compilers, automata, algorithm design and analysis, data structures, distributed systems, parallel processing, cloud computing, operating systems, systems programming, machine organization and/or digital computer fundamentals (the more the better).

?     React, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, C#, REST, MobX or Redux, Node, Webpack, and .NET Core.

?     Linux operating system (desirable).

?     Amazon Web Services (desirable).

?     Strong analytical and English language communication skills.




?     Minimum of five years of front-end web development.

?     Minimum of six months actively using React.

?     Use of automated testing framework such as Mocha, Karma, Selenium etc. (desirable).

?     Minimum of two years working as part of a high functioning Agile team benefiting from a superior DevOps infrastructure (desirable).

?     Minimum of two years in the software engineering of a product or service used by external users where a high level of customer satisfaction is a top priority (desirable).
