Position Summary:

Design, plan, manage and implement IT Infrastructure solutions and updates. Analyze and resolve IT infrastructure issues. Work independently and with IT teams, vendors and business users to implement IT infrastructure solutions. Provide IT infrastructure support including advanced support for PC's, servers, network equipment, telecom equipment, printers, etc. Assist with IT Help Desk support including business customer calls, logging requests, end user assistance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Position requires periodic support during non-business hours.

Essential Responsibilities:

Administer, update and monitor Conning's global infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Develop solutions to complex problems. Create entries in knowledgebase for use by other team members. Assist team members in applying new solutions to problems.

Build standard platforms including servers, desktops, laptops, virtualization infrastructure, etc. including configuration/installation of standard software.

Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct complex connectivity issues arising from all possible remote locations including remote offices, hotels and private homes. Support remote access connectivity to Conning applications and platforms.

Actively participate in Conning Help Desk support including answering calls/requests, exceptional customer service skills, and ticketing system updates.

Participate in rotating 24x7 on-call schedule and work during non-business hours as required.

Document new solutions and support processes. Apply knowledge and experience to anticipate support needs and develop new procedures in anticipation of future requirements.

Stay current with upgrades and new releases of supported software, developing new troubleshooting skills and learning the impact changes will have on all aspects of Conning's environment. As new technology is introduced, quickly acquire sufficient knowledge and skills to provide a high level of support during conversion activities and after implementation.

Identify, design, and implement solutions that automate routine/repetitive IT processes.

Adhere to IT policies, procedures and standards for hardware/software, security, request/ticket tracking, source control, and change management.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and corporate domain infrastructure in a corporate global environment including experience in DNS, DHCP, Radius, Certificate, etc.

Extensive experience and strong working knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems (2008R2 - 2016) and relationships to hardware platforms; specifically, Cisco UCS or HP.

Citrix Netscaler and running and maintaining a Citrix Farm and application publishing and configuration.

NetApp storage experience (operational & maintenance) including backups, retention and disaster recovery.

Demonstrated experience (at least 7-10yrs) in highly available VMWare infrastructure with experience in monitoring, tuning and operational support of environment.

Extensive experience and strong working knowledge of network monitoring tools and configurations including network sniffing and probes.

Experience with configuration management and DevOps experience on Infrastructure platforms.

Demonstrated skill set in Azure Cloud technologies.

Solid working knowledge of VPN technology best practices and troubleshooting experience. Cisco and Citrix related experience required.

Experience working with third party hosting and managed circuit providers. Experience monitoring infrastructure provided by third parties, identifying potential issues, and providing corrective action.

Extensive troubleshooting skill required to determine root cause and remediation techniques.

Experience managing and maintaining a internal Solar winds environment including setting up monitoring agents and reporting.

Dedicated to a high level of customer service and follow through including excellent communication skills with peers, management, and business users.

Ability to become part of a dynamic team and demonstrate a strong work ethic, teamwork, and willingness to get the job done.

Ability to work under the pressure of tight time frames on infrastructure implementations and migrations. Work off hours as required by the project team.

Experience in design and implementation of global VOIP solutions, Video Conferencing, WAN acceleration technologies and internet facing technologies.
