The Senior Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Systems and Development, is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating processes, systems, and user requirements for planned projects involving campus Information Technology, and SalesForce in particular. The position entails working closely with technical and business teams outside of IT to document their processes, and also to create and implement enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform workflows and interfaces for these processes. 


Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs CRM (SalesForce) requirements gathering and analysis to include: analytical techniques, interview approaches, data gathering methodologies, current system documentation, business modeling methods, business process, rules and logic, data gathering to solve complex issues, development of plans & requirements, and key performance indicators.

Partners with departments and users to gather all functional, technical, and business requirements to formulate specifications. Documents work flows and results of business analysis and obtains sign-off from users on specifications.

Communicates the business directives, goals, and needs to technical teams and serves as business interface from the management team managing expectations and defining project completion and user satisfaction metrics.

Oversees all CRM platform environments, and manages the development/release cycle, while serving as lead administrator and lead developer.

Functions as CRM Technical Lead, assuring that the technical direction taken leverages the capabilities of the platform to maximum advantage.

Assists technical teams in translating various application functionality into application, systems, and technology solutions consistent with campus IT architecture and standards.

Performs related duties as assigned or required to meet Department, Executive Area/Division, goals and objectives.

Mentors, trains, and develops information technology personnel and assists with campus-wide activities, particularly in CRM process support skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, in IT-related field preferred, with 6 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, with 4 or more years of design and deployment experience with enterprise CRM platform, with a strong preference for successful SalesForce deployment experience, required

Equivalent combination of education, training and experience require, preferably in IT-related field, with 6 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, with 4 or more years of design and deployment experience with enterprise CRM platform, with a strong preference for successful SalesForce deployment experience, required.

 

Skills and Abilities:

Expert knowledge of enterprise level CRM platform, specifically SalesForce deployment. Skill set must include defining requirements, scoping and planning deployment, developing and administering the platform.  Required

Progressive responsibility supporting, operating, or managing CRM, with at least three years of experience in a project leadership role reflecting the scale and complexity of a research university, military, not-for-profit, or equivalent institution.  Required

Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and execute business analysis and project deliverables with a high level of service across a diverse team including mission-aligned hiring, training, supervising, mentoring, and performance management. Required

Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; and ability to influence decision-makers and stakeholders.  Required
